Extreme Makeover Home Edition Comes to Oregon

Part of my job is processing media requests for various different TV shows and print publications. I get to meet some pretty great people along the way, like Tommy Rouse  from Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Tommy has called for Rejuvenation lights on a few different EMHE projects and included us in the Major League Baseball Fan Cave (see that post here). While I’m in touch with our media contacts regularly, it’s not often that I get a chance to put faces with names, so you can imagine my excitement when I got the call about helping out with a project in Medford, OR, and while Medford isn’t terribly close to Portland, a five hour drive seemed close enough to make the trip down there. So once the order was rushed through production, our National Trade Manager, Jason, and I loaded up my little Honda Civic with Rejuvenation lights and set out for Medford. We got to tour the build site, meet the people behind the scenes who pull everything together, and even hang out in the staff trailer. The best part? I finally got to meet Tommy in person. Here are some photos from our little adventure.

Here's Jason, Tommy and I in the staff trailer. I'm really not that short, they're just really tall!

Here we are all decked out in hard hats in the house with Yogi, Andy and Veronica

This was the status of the house during our visit.

Now this guy is a pro! I was so impressed by the stilts as a means to expedite the drywall process, I just had to snap his photo.

We were asked not to take photos of the interior of the home on our visit. While we don’t have the before pictures we certainly have some great after photos.

Here is our Hood fixture with the 18" net shade.

Love the Rose City!!! I can’t wait to hang one in my own kitchen! (Still pinching myself that I won one!)

Thanks Alicia! We can’t wait to see the photos, once you get it installed.
