For the last several months Maud, our copywriter, and I have shared a cubicle here at Rejuvenation Headquarters. We work closely on several projects so it’s really helpful to sit together and have impromptu brainstorming sessions and mid-day dance parties to keep those creative juices flowing.
I’ve heard that when you spend a lot of time with someone you begin to assimilate their habits and even some of their language. Recently this has proven true, as Maud is coaxing me away from my beloved daily honey cardamom latte and into green juice. I’ve gotten her hooked on rice cakes and balsamic hummus as an afternoon snack. We’re sharing good habits! Unfortunately, we’ve had a couple of mishaps too, as it seems I’ve also shared my lifelong propenisty for broken bones and limb injuries (to summarize: four broken right wrists, one broken left wrist, one broken finger and one broken collar bone) with Maud as well.
Back in March, I sprained my ankle well enough to land on crutches for a stretch. A simple mis-calculation on how many stairs were left in a flight; I thought one, turns out there were two! Just last week, Maud arrived to work with her arm in a cast and a sling. …
Our cube may just be bad luck for those who inhabit it, so you can imagine our excitement when we were informed that we were moving into an office. It’s cozy and we now have a door to keep Basil in and to ensure we don’t disturb our new neighbors with our afternoon dance parties.
Now we just need to decorate this place. Post your suggestions here, we need all the help we can get! We promise to post before and after photos of our new space too.
P.S. This post is dedicated to my big brother Jonathan- the only person I know who is more clumsy than me.
