For the past 18 months or so, I’ve been working at Rejuvenation on a big plan to get more people to know about who we are and what we do. For me, that meant working with our existing retail stores – our Portland flagship store and our Seattle store — and developing a plan for new stores in new markets.
We’ve kicked the tires, looked at every customer touch point (disclaimer: no actual customers were physically touched in the making of this plan!), and turned things upside down, to make sure that everything we do is about making sure our customers have a great experience at Rejuvenation.
In our stores, we painted every surface of the store, cleaned up anything getting in the way of smooth operations, refreshed our service commitments, and did some fun things like adding a new bike rack for customers, new lighting vignettes, new furniture lines, and creating enticing “wow- your-socks- off” visuals.
And guess what? We’re ready to take this show on the road and open a third store!
But where? First we formed a selection committee to help us make the hard decisions about where to open, when to open, and what the criteria would be for a new retail site. (in a nutshell, we are as picky about the details of finding a site as we are about making sure our lighting is perfect! No surprise there.)
Then we partnered with an awesome design firm here in Portland to create a new store design that shows off every part of what we do and why we do it and makes what can seem hard (a decision about lighting) quite manageable. We think you’ll like it too.
This brings us to today. Our existing stores are all spiffed up. We’re ready for new retail stores, organized behind the scenes, and on the hunt for the best sites possible. And the cat is out of the bag – new store 3 has been announced:
Next stop……Los Angeles!

I was introducced to you when my parents moved to Portland seven years ago. I have been shopping the ever since while my wife aqnd I restore a Colonial Revival cottage in Riverside,CA. I have been saying “you need an LA store” for the same amount of time.

Dan, I am glad your parents made our introduction, and you can soon go from saying “We need a Rejuvenation store in LA”, to “Finally, we have a Rejuvenation store in LA”!
